Rescue efforts already helped re-home over 600 dogs! Successful adoptions come with a lot of expenses including: vet bills, housing, food, transportation, and more. It costs $3000 Euros a month to maintain the shelter in Germany.

Hi, i have been looking into helping the stray dogs in Turkey for a few years now. I have been on holiday to Turkey over 6 times now and it has always upset and troubled me as to why the dogs are left to live in such horrible conditions and are left to fight for their lives in some cases. The malnutrition in the dogs is unbelievable and i was looking to set up a shelter where the dogs are able to get clean water, fresh food and medication if necessary. The place i am looking to do this is Altinkum as this is the area in which i have seen most dogs and also the worst case dogs. I really am keen to help in any way i can and would love to move forward with setting up a shelter in Altinkum. I look forward to your reply. Many Thanks, Ella
Looking to rescue a kangal dog. Can you please direct to a person or a website I can talk to. I found a website but the language is in latin and am located in U.S.A.
Hi, I wondered if you found a beautiful rescue Anatolian/Kangal dog? i just saw your email from three years ago….We are looking for a temporary home for our gorgeous 6 year old 130 pound Anatolian, and there arent too many people looking for these breeds as they need lots of yard and no other pets, and they are not the typical breed….we are in Massachusetts and are looking for someone with a large yard and dont mind shedding dogs and who does not have small pets…He is nicknamed “the rug” as his breed is to lie around and protect the herd, a big love bug, loves humans, but loves to chase and go after little dogs…which is why he can not go to a home with little dogs..
we adore him, and are sailing for a year and cannot take him with us, which breaks my heart…
Just found this website & saw your post. Sounds like it might be too late. We live in upstate NY.
Buying a new home .we live in the United States.Looking to help our four legged friends.Love the breed .If an associate could please contact me with some information about an organization in the states. It would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day, and good bless.

If there is any information or a specific place I should contact to adopt one these dogs please let me know! Thank you so much for your time and attention!
I’ve had a male kangal for four years now, and I am in love with the breed. If there is a female puppy to be rescued please let me know.
Martha, we just got a 5 month female Sivas Kangal/Anatolian as a playmate for our 5 month old great Pyrenees. Her mother came from Turkey and her dad is a giant anatolian. She is shy and Max takes advantage of her. He is more possessive than we thought he’d be. So we have decided to find her a new home . She was raised without a lot of human contact as that was so they can guard without having to have human contact, she is friendly and a doll, cutest eyes and great conformation. She was raised with goats. Contact us at bross002@centurytel.net
